Scout withdrawn for a rebuild; site rebuilt around the free tools
Scout has been taken off the site while it is rebuilt from the ground up. Every /scout page now redirects to the homepage, and the marketing, pricing, and comparison pages that supported it are gone. Nothing on oglandman.com is for sale as a result. The permit tracker, county records directory, and M&A archive are unaffected and remain free. Site-wide copy was re-grounded at the same time: the homepage headline previously said permits appear 'the morning they're filed', which was wrong. The TRRC feed is pulled once each morning and the prior two weeks are re-checked for late filings and status changes, so the site now says 'refreshed every morning'.

Scout signup switched to a launch waitlist
Scout entered final pre-launch work and paid signup was paused, with every Scout CTA pointing at an email waitlist. Superseded on 2026-07-27, when Scout was withdrawn entirely and the waitlist came down with it.

Stripe checkout live; Scout tiers repriced
Scout billing is live via Stripe inside the app (scout.oglandman.com). New tiers: Landman $149/mo · Broker $299/mo (recommended) · Land Department $259/seat (3-seat minimum) · Operator custom quote, with optional annual billing (about 2 months free). AI metering moved from session counts to a credit wallet (800 / 2,800 / 2,100-per-seat-pooled monthly credits, top-up packs never expire). Every trial CTA on this site now hands off to account creation in the app; a downloadable pricing sheet is on the pricing section.

Homepage hero now ships a live drilling-activity strip pulling the top 5 Texas counties by 7-day permit count. Click any county tile to drill into its tracker page. Replaces the prior product-screenshot placeholder.

New /permits page is the public daily-habit landing for Texas drilling: top 10 operators last 7 days, latest 15 filings state-wide, 18-county browse grid. Free, no account required. The gated tracker at /permits/search still offers full search.

Pricing schema corrected to locked Scout spec
Pricing page tier cards, comparison table, AI runs explainer, and embedded JSON-LD all corrected to the locked Scout spec (Solo 40 AI sessions hard cap / Independent 150 + $1 overage / Team 150 per seat + $1). Prior values had drifted from Scout's plans.js, caught and fixed before any meaningful traffic.

AI usage moved to session-based counting
Scout now counts one AI session per distinct import session that triggered at least one successful AI call (column-map or per-row extraction). Pure dictionary parses and PSAs share that single counter. Replaces the prior per-action weight model (1/3/5 runs by action type).
